Bug Bag is an everyday snack but also a party snack for the courageous, curious in the ways of the world and its novelties, and for those ready for a change. Eatable insects are tasty and healthy – for you and for the environment!

Insect farming is far more environment friendly than raising cattle. It uses less water, requires less space, and has a far lower carbon emission. On top of that, edible insects are a great source of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, fibers, vitamins, and minerals. By eating bugs we really do save our planet!

“We’re in love with Halo’s fun, elegant art direction, where the bugs and worms are unobserved but bring a lot to the table, literally. Pastel colors and golden accents give BugBag a luxurious look and feel.”

The BUG BAG project consisted of a sign system, packaging design, promotional materials for media and social media usage, promotional gadgets, brand strategy as well as product naming (BUG BAR/BUG JAR/BUG BAG/BUG POW). We also created a visual identity photo session and a packshot session of the products.
The visual identity is made of contrasting colours, a firm typography and illustrations. Using these, BUG BAG shows its recipients the upside of entomophagy (using insects as a part of your diet).
